Who’s behind Cheerful Business?
Cheerful Business is a Cheerfully Given project. Cheerfully Given was started to support Christian artists, designers and makers in any way we can as they pursue their creative calling, and as a resource for the wider church to buy design-led Christian gifts, stationery and homeware that reflect the life found in Jesus.
Our curated marketplace website features over 280 artists and designers, all with a passion for sharing Christ through their work, and encouraging people to look to Him.
Who are your mentors?
The Cheerful Business mentors have at least a decade of relevant experience, and have significant expertise in supporting and growing small businesses. They are mature & wise Christians, who seek after Jesus and take their discipleship seriously as part of local church families. We are all accountable to our local church leaders.

Each of them is available to ask questions of throughout the month, as well as teaching masterclasses, courses, and workshops to help you improve and grow different parts of your business.
What do you believe? What’s your statement of faith?
We are Trinitarian, and the Apostles’ Creed is a summary of our faith in God our Father, the Lord Jesus Christ, and the Holy Spirit. You can find our statement of faith here.
We know that people have different beliefs and practices around worship. Our membership has people from all kinds of churches, but we are all united in our faith in the Risen Jesus, and welcome those who share this commitment.
If you’re not sure about following Jesus, but are interested in it and would like to explore the idea of Jesus being the centre of life and business, then you are more than welcome to join us.
Our approach to mindset, finances, ambition, identity, purpose, and work (including topics like productivity and time management, marketing and sales) is underpinned by the knowledge that Jesus is the centre of reality and source of all of life - we have thought through the deep realities of human life and experience, and are confident in what we do.
As a result, you can bring your questions and our team of mentors will be happy to answer them and support you as you explore these matters. No question is too big or too difficult for the Lord Jesus!
What kind of businesses is this for?
We support product- and service-based businesses in The Cheerful Business Club, as well as “digital” businesses like course delivery and creation.
Our mentors have varied expertise, and as we grow, we are bringing in new mentors and experts for different fields, so there’s something for everyone.
We have a mix of members, including those starting businesses and those who’ve been in business 5+ years, as well as people working very part-time hours, and those working full-time.
We do have a higher proportion of those in creative industries due to the nature of Cheerfully Given, but we also have members who work in industries like coaching and tutoring as well.
